Elaine W. Yu, MD, MMSc is an Associate Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is an NIH-funded clinical researcher and board-certified endocrinologist in the Endocrine Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). After medical school and residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, she completed a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the MGH, and received a Masters in Clinical and Translational Research from the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Yu leads active clinical and clinical research programs in the fields of osteoporosis and obesity/metabolic diseases. She is Director of the MGH Bone Density Center and is actively involved with the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the Endocrine Society. Dr. Yu is currently the Principal Investigator of multiple studies investigating the pathophysiology and treatment of skeletal fragility due to bariatric surgery and diabetes. Read More
